The Head and Neck Cancer Support Network was established in February 2016. It took the place of an Auckland District Health Board support group which had met at the Cancer Society's Domain Lodge for over 20 years. With the incorporation of the network, we now have a group of patients running those same meetings and reaching out to members via this site, Facebook and other social media. We serve the whole of New Zealand and also serve overseas head and neck cancer people.
At present the network is run by Diana Ayling (Chair) and Maureen Jansen (Secretary)who both live in Auckland. We have a committee members: Tammy von Keisenberg, who lives in Whangarei; Narelle Horton, Edgecumbe; Olwen Williams, Blenheim; Liz Gray, Invercargill. We have three advisory members who are medical professionals.
Our aims are to connect head and neck cancer people throughout New Zealand , support them and advocate for them
