You will need to be a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident to access this support.

    The Comminity Services Card or CS card is useful for many things. If you are on super then you should automatically be offered one (unless you are still in employment then, I believe, you may be means tested) but it's useful to apply for one anyway. Aside from medication it can be used for various schemes, such as, if your house needs to be topped up with insulation for instance. I have a friend who has just had her retirement unit (2 bedroom) priced at under $200.00 to fully insulate the loft space. From experience it had made a huge difference, it's well worth applying as some will get the full grant and could pay nothing. It costs nothing to have the quote and you are not obliged to accept the offer.
