As the Head and Neck Cancer community observes World Cancer Day in 2024 on 4 February, it is crucial to shine a spotlight on the 0.01% of Kiwis who will face the daunting diagnosis of head and neck cancer this year. Head and neck cancer is a relatively rare but life-altering condition that demands our attention, understanding, and support.

Parenting through a cancer journey impacts the whole family and can profoundly affect children.
Parenting Through A Head and Neck Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment and into Survivorship webinar will provide guidance on how to have simple and open communication with children.
You will learn from a Child Life Specialist and three parents on how to maintain a sense of connection and provide opportunities for sharing and self-expression to help your child throughout this experience. Children are resilient and can learn to cope with challenging situations when provided with individualized support.
